Mr. Fischer began his initial training in 2001 in Budapest, Hungary, where he attended the Instrument Making School at the Franz Liszt Music Academy (Liszt Ference Academy of Music).  He completed a three-year apprenticeship under renowned Hungarian master Laszlo Marosvari .  Later, Mr. Fischer returned to the states and attended SUNY Binghamton and earned his degree in Anthropology.   

Mr. Fischer began his association with Charles Rufino over 15 years ago.  Presently, as Workshop Manager of the Long Island Violin Shop. he is directly responsible for the integrity of all of our repairs as well ensuring all of our instruments are properly maintained.  

Mr. Fischer, has lovingly hand-crafted multiple instruments.  The few that we have been lucky enough to have in our shop have sold within a few weeks.   

This beautiful violin produces a full, clear, well-rounded tone.  The highly flamed back and golden amber varnish make this instrument as pleasing to the eye as it is to the ear.
